"...It is such a mine field out there when buying ponies for children, what I will say is give these guy’s a shout, they are honest, straight forward and genuine..."

Breaking Livery

With a high turnover of Breaking liveries, we are probably one of South Oxfordshire's most popular choices of breaking yards.

Using a tried, tested and established method, we ensure a comfortable and progressive start to your Equine's ridden career.

No Horse/Pony is rushed. From our experience of breaking, we know that each Horse is different and therefore some will need more work on a certain subject, that they otherwise may not quite understand.

We suggest a period of 8 weeks to successfully break-in and ride away your Horse/Pony - always depending on the individual and previous experience.

Ponies are also introduced to being lead out from another Horse for exercise. This means that they can be easily exercised by the rider's parent(s) whom may be too large to ride him/her.

We can also help with Leading, Loading and general Handling issues.

We provide a totally flexible, tailored programme perfectly adapted to you and your Horse/Pony.

We involve you as much as possible, keeping you informed at all times. You can come and visit your Horse/Pony whenever you wish and are welcome to meet us at shows.

Nothing is more disheartening than seeing your Equine friend progressing well at the livery yard, only to get him/her home and realise that the "magic" has worn off and you are back to square one. To combat this, we provide full support following the reunion, so you can rest assured that we will be behind you, supporting you every step of the way, with positive advice and feedback.

We will explore both mental and physical issues surrounding your Equine's behaviour(s), working closely with our team of dedicated, enthusiastic and expert Equine Nutritionist, Dentist, McTimoney chiropractor, Farrier, Saddle fitter and Vet.

We will discuss with you at length your requirements and aspirations. We will then endeavour to prepare and re-school your Equine friend for success in your chosen discipline and alleviate any problems.

Whilst working with your Equine friend, we can help you if you have lost confidence from the problems you have been experiencing with your Horse/Pony. We have helped clients who had their confidence completely shattered from nasty falls, refusals and bolting incidents.

So, if you feel you have hit a brick wall, reached a dead end, or that your Horse/Pony is "far too good" and you don't know how to move forward with him/her, it will be something we will be able to help rectify and assist you with...

Full/Competitor Livery

Exercised 5 days a week - you can ride 2 days one week and 4 days the next, knowing that your Horse will always be exercised 5 days a week. Extensive use of Equissage!!! Ideal for busy people who compete but do not have the time through the week to look after and prepare their horse to perform at his/her best ability.   Maybe you need to be able to relax with the peace of mind that your horse is being looked after and cherished with all the attention he/she deserves.

Exercise program, balanced hard feed diet etc; specifically calculated with your Horse or Ponies’ every need addressed. Valuable training available from top visiting trainers.

Rider training Livery

Our rider training livery offers an encouraging environment for the continued development of the ambitious rider and their Horse/Pony(ies).

We have found this livery package to be very popular and benificial to new partnerships, helping them bond and get to know each other in a safe and non-judgemental atmosphere, before their return home.

Your Horse/Pony will be kept here on a full livery basis throughout the livery duration and a lesson, competition or other activity arranged for everyday that you are here.

The time scale of this training livery can range from a day in your child's half term, a weekend, and upto a fortnight or so.

A majority of Bryony's pupils use this intensive training as a top up to their regular weekly or fortnightly coaching.

Sales Livery

Our Sales livery package offers an affordable and competitive alternative service to many other businesses.

We charge a non-refundable Schooling / Rehabilitation Livery for the first two weeks whilst we assess your Horse/Pony. At the end of the assesment period, we will discuss with you the appropriate market, price and ideal purchaser(s) for your Horse. If all parties are content with the assessment's findings, we can commit to sell the Horse/Pony on your behalf. We will then school and/or compete him/her to ensure that the best possible sale price is obtained. Once all parties agree that the Horse/Pony has reached his/her ideal point of sale, sales livery charges commence.

Your Horse/Pony will be turned out immaculately for every viewing and all prospective purchasers will be encouraged to try the Horse out thoroughly. Our facilities ensure that a full insight of the Horse can be gained, from jumping in the school, in the XC field, going hacking and even loading!

Because we believe that the needs and welfare of the Equine should always come before a sale, we will ascertain your Horse/Pony and his/her future owner(s) are well suited. You are invited to "vet" the future owner(s) yourself and even intercept calls, so you can be certain that your Equine friend is going to the right person. On the other hand, we are happy to take total responsibility for the whole service.

On completion of the sale, we charge 15% commission of the total sale price attained.

*(As from 09/07/09) It is a pre-requisite that every sales livery must pass a vetting before being advertised. If their sale value is above £3,000 they must pass a 5 stage vetting. Horses and Ponies with a sale value of £3,000 and under must have passed a 2 stage vetting. We recommend that the Horse is vetted at home, before commencing livery. However, if this is not possible, the Horse/Pony can be vetted as part of the 2 week assessment period. The livery and vetting is paid in advance and again is non-refundable should the Horse fail the vetting.
